On Saturday, April 26, we celebrated our annual Walk & Roll-a-thon. The day started out a little cloudy, but as we sat and enjoyed the music, cheers from our cheerleading squad, and the laughter that they shared with their families, the sun began to shine. We had hot dogs and a delicious bake sale as well. Volunteer bakers shared their talents by baking and donating muffins, cupcakes, and pudding. Over all, it was a huge success. All proceeds went to the activities department to support the trips and other recreational activities of the Residents. The event is not just about fundraising, it is about creating new smiles and memories in our Residents’ hearts. Seeing the joy painted on their faces made the efforts and hard work that the staff, volunteers, sponsors, and friends exerted to make this event a huge success all worth it.
