Sunday, April 10, we hosted a “Paint Party” in our Mary Phelan Hall. This popular trend is working its way around our area. Carey Federspiel, one of our Residents’ daughters, an art instructor who offers her services at “ArtPartays” in many local restaurants, was kind enough to animate this event. 22 participants gathered behind their easels to learn how to paint a vase of beautiful tulips that had been set before us, donated by The Flower Bar in Larchmont.
Amateurs to real artists participated and the various renderings were all unique. We enjoyed snacking on the cheese tray donated by Auray Gourmet and the chocolates by Chocolations, both of Larchmont. As Carey suggested, a glass of wine from Post Wine and Spirits helped to calm the nervous beginners and added a little fun to the event. We are grateful to all of the sponsors and contributors. You can see by the pictures that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We hope she will come back again in August to teach us to paint Sunflowers. Let us know if you’d be interested!
