This year, Fathers Day was celebrated in a very special way for Jeanne Jugan Residence.
Patrick Tierney, a local Boy Scout completed his Eagle Scout project by building a Pergola for our patio.
This project was started on Saturday with the aid of boy scouts, leaders and volunteers. By Sunday, the project was completed and a party with cake was provided to celebrate.
In order to achieve his Eagle Scout badge, Patrick had to obtain all the material, tools and food through the generosity of Throgsneck’s local business.
The Pergola provides shade and comfort to the residents that wish to sit outside and enjoy the air. We extend our gratitude to Patrick, as well as his leaders and peers.
