On Saturday, April 27, Jeanne Jugan Residence held its annual Walk/Roll-A-Thon in conjunction with Bake and Hot Dog Sale. The sun was shining and hearts were happy. Upbeat music helped to transform our front yard into the neighborhood “happening place,” as one friend described the environment after attending the event for the first time.
The Residents along with their families and some volunteers enjoyed a morning of walking/rolling around our home. Many displayed specially fashioned t-shirts designed for the event. Many worked hard to bake special delights to be sold at the bake sale table. What a great time was had by all.
Thanks to all our volunteers, family and staff members, once again, this fun event was a huge success. All proceeds made from this fundraiser will go towards Resident outings and special events.
May God bless all those who care enough to help to create the special family environment that we all enjoy here at Jeanne Jugan Residence and many thanks to those who help us to try to enrich the lives of the elderly who reside here.
